On October 11, 2023, Kaneland CUSD #302 started the process of hiring a new superintendent by announcing Dr. Todd Leden's planned retirement and search process protocols. The school district has decided to start the search now for a new superintendent to ensure a smooth transition by June 30, 2025. The district is committed to getting input from the community, and surveys and focus group will be conducted to understand what aspects are valued in a superintendent. The school district is excited to find a new leader who can continue the tradition of excellence in education and serve the community with distinction.

SURVEY

Kaneland CUSD #302 parents, students, teachers, support staff, administrators, and community members participated in an online anonymous survey to express their views on the school district and the qualities they would like to see in the next superintendent. The survey results will be available and published on October 31, 2023. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Let's work together to ensure a prosperous future through education for our community.

COMMUNITY FOCUS GROUP

On October 26, 2023, we held a focus group to gather feedback from the community about the next superintendent to lead Kaneland CUSD #302. The feedback received was incredibly valuable and insightful, and it played an instrumental role in developing the leadership profile and interview questions.

The leadership profile developed will serve as an excellent guide for identifying the best candidate for the community. The interview questions created based on your feedback will be used during the interview process.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the focus group. Your input identified the specific qualities and characteristics the community seeks in a superintendent.
