The purpose of the Kaneland Key Communicators Network (KCN) is to enhance communications between the District and community. An e-mail message will be sent every Wednesday with District information to all participants. The information may include meetings, events, student successes, changes in the curriculum, finance information, and more.
Facilitates increased communication: As a component of our Strategic Plan, there is a desire to enhance communications between District 302 and its community. The District recognizes this need and feels that the Key Communicators Network will offer this as a part of the solution.
Timeliness of information: In our busy lives it is increasingly important to receive timely and accurate information. The Key Communicators Network will be used to distribute information, both accurately and efficiently.
Cost-effective: The more information that can be sent electronically, the less paper, printing/copying equipment and staff time needed. This solution has both cost and environmental benefits.
All staff and school board members may participate and receive messages.
Parents may subscribe to be made aware of special events and information related to their child's education.
Community members may subscribe to keep up-to-date with issues and happenings in their local school(s).
Volunteers may subscribe to learn of new opportunities to serve the District.
Business partners may choose to enroll and receive messages regarding the District with which they partner. This will allow the partner to be aware of issues affecting the school, as well provide opportunities to enhance the partnership.
Extended family, out-of town friends and relatives, and military personnel may also subscribe to remain in touch with the school community.
