Welding is the term used to describe numerous methods of joining metals. Welding is the primary process for repairing and fabricating metal components. There are many challenging career opportunities in this field and all indications show an increase in openings leading into the 21st century.

Education

Teacher certified in agriculture and ag mechanics with endorsements in language arts and social studies. Additionally, Mr. Heinsohn holds a type 75, administration, certification.

Experience

Mr. Heinsohn has been teaching career and tech ed classes at the high school level since 1983. He taught in the Belevidere, Galena, Naperville, Kirkland, and DeKalb/KEC districts before joining Fox Valley Career Center.

Responsibilities

Mr. Heinsohn helps students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work at an entry level in the small engine repair and welding trades.
