The Board Approved a New Pet Policy

At the August 25, 3008 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a new pet policy for Kaneland campuses. The purpose of the policy is to ensure the safety of all Kaneland students, as well as staff and visitors to the schools. Please read the attached letter for further details. More »
Birthday Treats in the Form of Food Items will NOT be allowed Next School Year

In order to promote healthy choices and support a culture of wellness in our schools, along with our concern for food allergies and childhood obesity, birthday treats in the form of food items will not be allowed. If a food item is sent, they will not be served and will be sent home. Suggested birthday "treats" can include things like: a pencil, a book for the calssroom, or stickers. The nature of food items in the school, relating to classroom parties and other activities, is being reviewed and will be in accordance with the Kaneland #302 Wellness Policy beginning in the 2008-2009 school year.
