Pledge of Allegiance

Sign up in the office today for Powder Puff Football, even if you only want a shirt. If you want to play, please check your name.
Writer’s Block will meet today at 2:30 in room A104. It’s the “sign up” meeting.
All student council members should see Mr. Martinez in his classroom before Wednesday, October 1st.
A representative from Northwestern Missouri State University will be here today from 11:30-1:00 and a rep from Aurora University will be here on Thursday, October 2 at 11:30. They will be set up in Student Services. Stop by to sign up and pick up a pass so that you may come to visit with them.
Homecoming tickets will go on sale Wednesday, October 1 during all lunches. Prices are $15 for a single and $25 for a couple. If you are bringing a non-Kaneland guest, you MUST have a completed guest pass before buying your tickets. Guest passes are available from Mrs. Cesario in the office.
Model U.N. will meet on Wednesday, October 1 at 2:40 in room C114 for a simulation.
FFA will meet on Wednesday, October 1 at 2:30 in room A100. Following the meeting, we will have our state officer visit.
Spanish Club Members: If you are planning on attending the October 15 Day of the Dead party, please let Mrs. Jurcenko know by Wednesday, October 1. $5.00 will cover the cost of the craft, pizza and refreshments. Please pay when you register so we make sure we have all supplies needed.
National Honor Society will meet on Thursday, October 2 during STEN in room C120. This meeting is mandatory; we’ll discuss the peer tutoring schedule.
The KFC (Kaneland Footbag Club) will meet after school until 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 2 in the commons area. If you like soccer, hacky sack or juggling, join the KFC and show off your skills or improve your technique. Everyone is welcome and experience is not required. Come out and kick with the Colonel!
Attention all DECA Members: Please pick up and read through the role play situation before the meeting on Thursday, October 2 during STEN. Reminder that forms and money for the Career Day with the Bulls trip are due on Friday. Also, SELL, SELL, SELL that popcorn!
Book and Film Club members will meet on Thursday, October 2 at 2:45 in the library. Please bring your club fee and permission slip.
Anyone interested in attending Wicked with Peer Leadership is reminded that all ticket and bus orders along with payment are due on Friday, October 3. If you need an order form, they are located at the Peer Leadership Bulletin near the drinking fountain in the commons or from Ms. Trafton or Miss Conn. No late orders will be accepted.
Waubonsee Community College is hosting College Night on Monday, October 6 from 6:00-8:30 pm at the Sugar Grove campus. There will be 125 colleges and universities attending. If you have any questions, stop by Student Services.
Hey Seniors! There is a list with your name on it posted in the cafeteria on a table along the wall. You need to check this carefully and make sure your name is spelled correctly. This is how your name will appear on your diploma. If changes need to be made, see Mrs. Huggins in Student Services. If it is correct, please sign next to your name. Make sure it is legible. Thanks.
Seniors, register to vote in the upcoming Election. Stop by the high school office or Student Services before October 7. Remember to exercise your right to vote…it’s a privilege!
Attention to all Kaneland High School Students interested in competing for the 2008-2009 Kaneland High School Chess Team: The first practice originally scheduled for Thursday has been postponed to next Wednesday, October 8th. If you are currently in a fall sport, and still wish to join Chess, please see Mr. Dentino in room C115 either after school STEN as soon as possible
Blackberry Creek Elementary School is still looking for volunteers for their Fun Fair on Friday, October 3 from 5:00-8:00 pm. See Mrs. Faletto in room C106A during STEN to get more information.
