Kaneland High School:
Communicating our Vision
2012-13
Greetings,
Thank you for taking time to review our communications regarding the school improvement efforts of Kaneland High School. An essential component of the plan is to communicate our strategies, goals and long term vision. We believe this is one of the necessary steps in developing a partnership with our communities to assist the students and school in achieving our goals.
There are three components of the 2012-13 included as part of this communication . The Illinois State Board of Education required School Improvement Plan, with goals related to reading and math and specific strategies directed towards students that are identified as economically disadvantage. The second component is the school’s SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely). The last is the long term vision of Kaneland High School that will serve as working document as we evolve, meet our goals and develop new goals.
These documents will be made available in the communities of Sugar Grove, Kaneville and Elburn for review in the months of November, December and January. They will also be posted in our Board of Education meeting room at the Kaneland District Office. Please take time to review the information and become familiar with your role in our improvement efforts.
Sincerely,
Chip Hickman, KHS Principal
