Due to inclement weather the track meet schedule for this afternoon has been canceed. Track participants should stay after school for practice.
Kaneland High School to Host Health and Wellness Fair

Kaneland High School is hosting its 4th Annual Health and Wellness Fair on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. The event is being sponsored by Delnor Express Care. The fair will be attended by high school students throughout the school day during their PE or Health class.
There will be over 40 booths at the event covering a variety of health topics. Sample topics include: urgent care versus the ER, therapy dogs, fitness stations, noise induced hearing loss, and spinal care. Kaneland students are being provided a great opportunity to learn more about their health. There will be free demonstrations and giveaways all day, along with a raffle awarding donated prizes.

Kindergarten Registration and Literacy Fair

Preschool Screening - February 15

By appointment only.
Children ages 3-5 that are suspected of having any delays in developmental milestones
are encouraged to attend. The milestones that will be checked include speech,
hearing, vision and motor skills. Child and Family Connections will be screening
children from birth to age 3 to check infant and toddler milestones.

Encourage Reading this Winter Break!

Auditions for West Side Story!

Auditions for West Side Story will take place on Tuesday, January 8 and Wednesday, January 9. You must attend one of these two days. If necessary, call backs would be either Thursday, January 10 or Friday, January 11.

Amended Filing Period for School Board Candidates

Senate Bill 3338 was signed into law by Governor Quinn on November 29, 2012. This law, which becomes effective immediately, amends Section 1-4 of the Election Code to specify that, for the 2013 consolidated election period, local election officials have until Wednesday, December 26 at 5:00 pm (rather than Monday, December 24) to accept candidates’ petitions. We are proud to announce that on November 11 and 12, three teams from Kaneland Schools were honored at the American Society for Quality Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. As a part of their annual conference, ASQ recognizes teams of educators who have worked together to advance an idea that improves the quality of education for students. Each of the teams was recognized for their superior team work, innovative teaching ideas and for the impact on student learning. All three of Kaneland's teams won the Merit Level Team Excellence Award. Please join us in congratulating our teams from Kaneland and thanking them for representing our great district at a prestigious national level!
